Let's settle this once and for all
Was he Skywarp or Bombshell?
Transformers
Both
Thundercracker.
On the one hand, it does make sense for 2 of the original Seeker trio to stay on as Galvatron's top wing men.
On the other, the idea of a messily bug getting a promotion while Skywarp is totally forgotten is rather funny.
Bombshell, which is why he's able to create clones to be his armada.
He was clearly Bombshell and I never had any idea why G1 boomers kick and scream and deny that; either way he's effectively a new being anyway.
skywarp, because he was loyal to megatron and followed orders.
Yes.
It doesn't matter who Cyclonus and Scourge were before they were reformatted, all the Decepticons tossed into space aside from Megatron were dead when Unicron found them, they were only used as raw materials to create the new Decepticons. Neither Bombshell nor Skywarp's lives or memories factor into this.
Skywarp, fuck that bug
I like Cyclonus' hat.
Hasbro's official stance is "Skywarp/Bombshell/Both/Neither".
>all the Decepticons tossed into space aside from Megatron were dead when Unicron found them
There's no evidence to support this at all. Maybe they're alive but unconscious, maybe they're dead, but the movie doesn't explicitly state that being left adrift in space somehow killed them.
>Neither Bombshell nor Skywarp's lives or memories factor into this.
Cyclonus and Scourge are so underdeveloped that the question of whether they remember their past lives is never even asked in the cartoon, let alone answered definitively.
Since the Insecticons actually appeared in some early season 3 episodes, I like the idea that the Sweeps are just made from Insecticon clones, while Cyclonus is an older Skywarp trying to be the best most loyal Decepticon he can be, while Scourge is an older Thundercracker who just doesn't care anymore.
We wouldn't even have this problem if they'd properly removed all references to "Cyclonus' Armada" from the script after a decision was made to drop the idea. Or if the script had actually specified which characters become Cyclonus and Scourge, instead of leaving it to the storyboard artists. Nobody working on the movie would have believed that fans would still be arguing over this decades later.
Here's a more important question
Gnashteeth or Galavar?
Gnashteeth makes more sense. Of course he'd want to change his name to something more grandiose.
Galavar is trying too hard to sound cool. And the fact that it already kind of sounds like Galvatron makes the name change even more pointless.
I only like Galavar because FunPub people didn't name him.
Bombshell, but it would've made more sense to have been Skywarp
