Daphne was always one of my top waifus. I was always neutral on velma but slowly grew to dislike her due to a combination of how utterly insufferable velmafags are, velma being written as a bit of a bitch in some modern scooby material, and finally just jealousy of having to watch year after year velma get tons of attention (she gets all the best porn, high quality 2d porn animations, now a blender model and tons of work to give her 3d content. she is the series rep in the multiverse game, she is constantly pushed as the face of the show)

She fell into the same pitfall as Lisa where "nerd" doesn't mean nerd, it means smart, and a smart girl can't just be smart and girl, rather she needs to hold all sorts of opinions that "smart" people have, and specifically "smart women" are said to have, which is why they had to have her being all cynical about halloween in an episode I can't track down, or in the case of the Scoob movie they needed her to dress up as Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Originally all she really did was spout out star trek style technobabble. She could have just as easily have been a "smart" male character for what they used her for.
