Yeah, I mean, I don't want to be one of those people but really are there no other archetypes they try out? Is it just because the previous one was the Black Sports Man that they felt like "okay so, we need to do nerds to balance it out?" What about a musician? And I don't mean rap. Or like, fuck I don't know, artist. Car maniac. Vegan dipshit. Film buff. Like, just think about it for a little bit.

Same with black girls. They always have to be some girl boss tier.
I give credit to Craig of the Creek for having black characters that aren't all the same overused tropes.

Are they in high school now, as evidenced by TJ's facial hair? That kind of takes away from the mythos of Recess. I mean, Recess was kind of like a fantasy show because it was from a child's POV, and kids see the world that way. I really have zero interest in seeing these characters as depressed teens. No thank you.
