Things men will never understand

It's an entire Tumblr blog filled with screenshots just like this one, each more baffling than the next.

>women communication
>old men are too wise to learn

How rude!

Unironic appreciation too, going by the bookmarks...

So is thats the point? There is no answer and the point is that i want to know but ill never know because im a man and im not supposed to know? Because Nada appears in hell and she is still suffering so whatever the women are saying is a lie. Wich makes me think that theres nothing to get out of it actually and its just Gaiman creating a folk tale. And if thats the case then im dissapointed because im realizing most lf Sandman has no real meaning besides having cool shit. Im OP btw, i expected to have some answers and discuss comic books in the comic book board but i guess waifu threads are more important

Just read, ok?

>Because Nada appears in hell and she is still suffering so whatever the women are saying is a lie
I always thought the implication of thr "real story"/women's story was that Nada did nothing wrong and Dream is just a butthurt baby

The story never says the women's version of the tale contradicts the men's version of the tale. The women's version just has more of an ending, apparently.

And maybe the wise old men are wise because they know better than to wonder about something they'll never know the answer to.

I guess you could look at it through some psychology/sociology lens and say this story is a commentary about how women are more vulnerable and hurt by passion and men. And maybe that's what the women's version of the tale teaches. It's just a common theme in fairytales for unchecked passion to bring ruin.

Or maybe it's just a story about how Dream is an asshole and he inherently lacks full compassion for mortals, for the sake of his own wants.

Sometimes Gaiman does write stuff with meaning... but yeah, I do say a lot of stuff he writes is just to be cool and mysterious.

And yeah, Any Forums is a trashy waifu board. Most conversation spaces are mostly superficial and trite and all that, and Any Forums can be like a refuge for some people to be especially gross and stupid.

>women did nothing wrong and men just hurt them because they can't be assed to understand them
not trying to sound like an incel but isn't that a little condescending?

If it was some parable about all men, then sure, but Dream specifically was an autist. It's not even about being some anthropomorphic cosmic nigga since Death and Destruction are well-adjusted as "people"

>Women scheme and keep secrets behind the backs of men
What's not to get, this is shit every man knows instinctually

Barbie's last name is Roberts?

The old men are too wise to learn is just an implicit commentary about social stability and compartmentalization in secret societies. You don't rock the boat by trying to get a bead on what the "other side" is doing because it's an invasion of privacy and stepping over the boundary lines everyone follows and thus keeps society orderly.

Earlier in the story it's stated, I seem to recall, the guys fuck around and pretend there's monsters outside the houses, or in their secret club house, to screw with the women/children. Presumably the old women are also too wise to inquire too much, for the same reasons.

The ending line is ultimately just a now somewhat out of date commentary that it's likely men are reading this book and that's why they're let in on the men's version of the story and not the women's. And also, naturally, Gaiman is himself a man and thus should not be privy to it either. Another one of Sandman's metacommentary moments about stories and storytelling.

All this will feel kinda weird when/if they adapt this story in the TV, though, all things considered.

Hmmm yes? And after that you can go touch grass

split panel ka?

Is that the ship from Nope?

lmao, women cope as usual. Islam is right about Women.

Sort of loses its meaning when it gets confirmed that the other version is the real one while this is just fanfic.

Where'd you get such a high quality scan?
