So basically you're saying it's voting that takes in meta considerations rather than just personal taste of the characters? I don't think you're ever going to stop that.
Oh no! Judy has confiscated Emmy's clothes! Usually, police officers store confiscated items in the evidence room for safekeeping. But clearly, she has other plans... Vote for Judy!
So I finally got around to watching Secret of Nimh like I promised that one Brisbychad exactly 24 hours ago. He wasn't lying, that movie is visually fantastic. I feel a little cheated and misled though, because I was expecting more of a grand adventure. Something along the lines of Redwall, you know? Mrs Brisby going a long distance to save her son, very classical. Instead, it's a very centered movie, nobody really moves around that much; it focuses a lot on the rat drama (though I suppose that is the 'secret of Nimh.') It's a very weirdly paced movie. I found it funny that, for all their magical bullshit, the rats plan to move the house was just 'we'll lift it with a big machine.' Regardless, it's a fine Don Bluth work.. Was it ever explained why the creatures in the yard were intelligent, because the rats were only intelligent because of the injection, right? Or is it a case of 'all animals are smart, but the rats are super-smart? Also, why did nobody tell me that Mrs Brisby was near-illiterate?
Anyway, that's my blog post, the short of it is, you should vote for Mrs Brisby. I didn't see enough people recommending that course of action in the last thread.
