I like his old timey straw hat. I've seen that on characters before but I don't know what it's called. It was on the monorail guy's costume in simpsons. I associate it with politicians and flim flam people. Maybe it's just a holdover from older times that people kept doing after it was relevant. Like peter lorre caricatures.

I'd say it's only a little more gay than your average school
the biggest difference is that since it's all boys bullying is a more integral part of the social structure and if you don't socialize outside of school you're doomed to never speak to girls until you get to uni, seriously I got lucky when I got out but I know a lot of guys who's social skills with women got needlessly kneecapped since they never had the chance
