sandman is a pretentious mess of a story like it's creator gayman

So, when it gets renewed for a second season what is the complain going to be?

I haven't respected Neil Gaiman since he took the blue pill on free speech.

Depends, is his wife giving out handjobs?

Anyone whose read his foreword to Farenheit 451 vs hearing Ray Bradbury's actual words in interviews and on the actual Farenheit 451 coda knows how full of shit he's always been

I know its a weird complaint. But it was harring how many black people were in the first episode. Maybe i noticed it more because all the death complaints, but fuck. They know other ethnicities exist right?
Also hate morpheus voice.
Still havent watched episode 2.

>Second season
Not from what i heard.

>his wife

Do you think the show would've been received better/watched more if it was animated?
He's getting pretty desperate.

Neil Gaiman once defended Japanese porn on grounds of free speech and even posted it on his own blog, but then he made it big and had to walk it back in order to keep his film industry deals.

>show would've been received better/watched more if it was animated
Sandman is one of those comics where it's entirely impossible to animate properly. Even the netflix adaptation looks like a fucking 90's teenage drama than a fantasy story about some mythical creatures(albeit sandman isn't really far from that).

First of all, animation over live action always. Secondly the show's real problem is literally being a Netflix show of a comic that was a 4 year journey of the power of stories and what they say about humanity.

>Sandman is one of those comics where it's entirely impossible to animate properly.
How so? Different short stories have their own art styles.

I'd say its harder to properly adapt it in live action.

Never cared for Sandman/The Endless.

Pleb

>Netflix
Should've been HBO.
Oh but then it would've just been trashed for a tax writeoff...

Most likely, first off nobody really gives a shit who does the voice of a character as long as they sound good and fit the character well and second you could do a hell of a lot more with an animated budget than a live action show budget

Who?

Hamill is a dumbfuck and Gaiman is washed up and scared of the woke mob.

>Sandman is one of those comics where it's entirely impossible to animate properly
That is the most retarded thing I've read this month. It's impossible to do in live action, PERFECT for animation.

>Oh but then it would've just been trashed for a tax writeoff...
>implying it still isn't

How did his American Gods show do? Heard about it, but didn't watch it.

>Woke garabage flops so badly that he has to keep begging people to watch it
LMAO go woke go broke

Reminder that Gaiman went sell-out after the breakup with his wife:

He waited for decades to adapt Sandman, turning away shitty offers, and suddenly settled with fucking Netflix of all people. Wait a minute, when did production start again...?
>Netflix signed a deal to produce the series in June 2019, and filming lasted from October 2020 to August 2021.
Huh... And, wait, when did Gaiman and his wife split up...?
>pic rel

The dude's so fucking transparent about it. After fucking decades of sitting on his hands with Miracleman: The Silver Age, he's *conveniently* resuming it in October of this year. He's starved for funds, and that is the sole motivator behind all of this disingenuous and dishonest bullshit we're seeing from him.

we have to accept that we ruined sandman and we are the only ones to blame for the flopping, this is not on gaiman or netflix, we did this and we have failed a great creator.

Gaiman is based
