First AI drawn comic has arrived

Why haven’t you made your own comic yet?

oh god that font clashes with the art style so fucking hard. it screams graphic design is my passion.

Hilarious cover

Seems sketchy. Any image that the AI pulls from that is connected to copyrighted content will result in your comic getting taken down. In of itself if you want to make surrealist comic content though it looks like a good way to get it done as long as you can avoid getting sued by the original artists/photographers

AI art is just precision photobashing, I'm curious to see how it's going to be handled considering it's just stealing copyrighted pictures and art

>it's another glorified photo collab trying to cash in on the AI craze

when the fuck is someone going to actually make a webcomic that isn't just portraits and landscapes.

Zarya huh? Hmm... Reminds me of some other young brown girl with a Z in her name... Zebra? Zonka? Eh, nvm.

actual issue here is a lack of continuity cuz of the ai, she's wearing a flower crown in panel three and five but but not one.
technically the act is transformative as your art is completely unrecognizable.
user, we're storying timing don't be rude.

This is literally sprite comics all over again lmao

i do like the second panel, it doesn't look wrecked or ruined enough for the sake of the story but it does give a very desolate and lonely feel for this tiny figure in this big room stretched out and towering. also panel three has a figure standing right in times square too along side the chick.

The kino moment is coming... prepare yourself!

I don't think "transformative" should count when it comes to a computer though. If it doesn't, I could just train my AI on one specific artist I want to copy

THUD!

the photobashing I assume makes it transformative enough for fair-use.

the bigger issue is that the AI companies own everything created by it.

We wuz the matrix and shit

Legally, they can't sue you for shit. The work is transformative and compeltely unrecognizable as the original piece, thusly making it fall outside (or at least very firmly on the knife's-edge) of the plagiarism laws.

Twittertards are trying to get some rule or another passed to change this, but I honestly can't see it happening since it opens the slippery slope for parody work as a whole (such as fancomics, fangames, or just general fancontent) to come under fire as well. Not that these 'people' are intelligent enough to recognize this, mind you.

sue the companies then and take it to the supreme court and try to kill it in the crib then. You got only one shot before this becomes too wide spread to stop.
this is the real issue, where's the open source shit?
holy shit the typography is so fucking bad.

Or maybe Avatar, I’m not sure

Finally. A world of diversity...

Yeah this just proves that AI can "make" you a comic but if you can't panel or structure it it's going to be an uncany mess

why is there an eye in the ground.

Ai retards will transform the visual art world in what the music industry transformed youtube. With web crawlers going back and forth to make sure nothing is being stole not allowing the average user to use others art without being taken down because a few companies can find a way to profit out of those things.

Or they will kill several art styles by sheer oversaturation, with people seeking to find things that will separate their work from being just regurgitated filtered crap. This if it latches on doesn't die in a month or two.

I kinda want it to become ultra popular, I think is really deserving and fitting for normies to look down on art because they can have a bot copy to them without having to deal with the struggle, trials and experimentation that is mostly what art is about, complete ruin the database they need to take out or even worse, complete kill the idea of seeking skill in a craft and never be able to find any inspiration on the concept itself. That will mean we will be the last generation of true artists that hanersted the skill and did it for the sake of self improving, and you know what this implies? Ultimate score board, meaning that the person who "wins" this generation of most notorious and skilled artist in his filed wins everything and it will be game over and everything else that comes after him won't have 1/10000 of the weight or value. I already had two comic ideas exploring this sort of dystopian future, probably going to do some really shitty sketches to 12 ounce mouse style also as a statement. One I call the age of noise. Is about how people kill the sense of aesthetic by sheer oversaturation and sensorial overload without nothing new to look at because artistic pursue died and so did innovation and experimentation and everything just becomes noise and finally dies, with people not finding purpose in visual aesthetics anymore save for a few artists that created closed communities to share their work.

>that face on the second row

I'd love to know what prompts they are using to get such clear results. Even with midjourney I cant seem to get anything usable

>Neo New York

So New New York? Futurama better sue

This would be great for a surreal horror comic though

Damn... this was powerful

Bravo

Acceptance is the key

Even if this was draw by the objectively best artist in the world, it would still be hilariously bad from the writing alone. I guess I shouldn’t expect much from someone willing to waste two weeks pressing refresh instead of learning to write or draw.

oh yeah but then you'd have to violate TOS bullshit to have cool gore monsters?

Was the story written by an AI? Felt random and nonsensical.
