I always liked Pepermint Patty as a kid. It's actually difficult to make a "friendly" character entertaining and they got a perfect balance with her. She's aggressive and cheeky while also being a bit dumb and emotional. Her dynamics with Marcy and 'Chuck' are some of the best stuff out of peanuts but she can also have some pretty entertaining interactions with Lucy and the rest of the gang.
Overall an outstanding addition to the franchise... she got shafted in that Peanuts movie.
