My name is Cleveland Brown, and I am proud to be...

Right back in my hometown with my new family

Cleveland was a beloved side character specifically because he was easy going and polite. They give him a spin off where his character is completely changed to be a loud, lazy, jackass just like every other sitcom patriarch. It runs out of steam by the first season but keeps going anyway. Finally they concede it’s gone on long enough and move Cleveland back to Family Guy. He brings his whole family and for a second it looks like they may offer up a new set of character dynamics for the neighborhood cast. Instead they’re just vanished to the background and essentially non speaking props save for a handful of episodes. Oh that’s nasty.

I mean it was but it was completely carried by two characters who didn't have any depth or much you could do with them
If it had gone any longer it would have become shit quick

Imagine having to write a sitcom with two casts of characters
Even worse having one of them come from a different show with different writers

There's old friends and new friends

They introduced that black lawyer in the new seasons for some reason. Well we know why, 'not enough diversity' in the show.

It had it's moments.

And even a bear

Through good times and bad times, it's true love we share!

Its*

And so, I found a place where everyone will know

Why did they give the teen step-daughter a old person name like Roberta?
