The idea of an attractive young woman being unlucky is jarring. You know by virtue of her birth she will have opportunities and privileges no white man could have. But I suppose nobody wants to see an ugly face on the big screen.

A character like Johnny Bravo could work in this role, since he's so outrageously stylized and dumb his foibles would be humorous. This just looks like a knock-off of Disney.

That's the point. The juxtaposition between her attractiveness and her misfortune is delicious. The more attractive the character, the more should she suffer.

It's miles above in quality compared to lightyear, turning red, luca, or soul. Not that that's a hard feat to beat but I enjoyed it and there was some good moments
