I think egypt has some good local comics, but theycare on arabic.

Comics wise there's a lot of dudes who make rotoscoped societal commentaries trying to be funny or deep in broken english. Cartoon wise I have no idea, I think I saw someone post a webm of an animated film where some cute african animals are dancing in a line or something like that but I'm not sure if it was actually from africa or what the film's called.

I vaguely remember watching a Lion King-esque movie about a Zebra. The animation was something similar to Ice Age 1. Can't remember the title but that was the only contact with African cartoons I ever had.
