You know that Alan Moore spammer that kept posting quotes about him shit talking superheroes as they are "made to appeal to fascists" or something along those lines?
Well, given how in this board, there's a rising demand for Superman to have Red Son or Injustice Superman's personality to be the default Superman, or else he would risk being seen as the "villain" by the new generation of readers, I'm staring to wonder if Alan Moore has a point.
Listen, I don't need Clark to become full blown fascist, all I'm saying it would be nice if he sometimes tackled real problems such as immigrants.
Justin Jones
Well, the constant posts about Suoerman being evil because he doesn't take over the world and destroy every extremist group and fascist governments in the world proactively.
Benjamin Harris
Odd position, given he himself was an immigrant
Ryan Hill
>every extremist group and fascist government Would be little more than an ant colony compared to Superman.
Ryan Jones
>here's a rising demand for Superman to have Red Son or Injustice Superman's personality to be the default Superman The thing is. The world has changed so much to the point where everything Superman used to stand for for all intents and purposes doesn't exist anymore. Realistically the only way for Superman to stay true to his values and remain unchanged as a character. Is to make him a villain. Because most zoomers look at Superman they still see truth justice and the american way. But they think that's a bad thing.
Bentley Davis
Oh of course, the ones demanding that Superman turn fascist to do good in the world don't show up in this thread.
Adrian Morgan
Alan Moore DOES have a point though. have you seen any x-men posts in the last several years? liberal idpol capitalists are hamfisting an ethnostate while magneto (the jew) gives speeches revealing their capitalist plan to take over. and x-men 97 is said to have magneto leading the x-men. and there's talk of race swapping xavier for the actor who played moff gideon.
yes, it is absolutely fascist, and liberal pandering will be used to cover up how reactionary the mouse wants to make it. then if you point that out, twitter and libshits will accuse you of being racist just like when people pointed out that objectively speaking, the new star wars trilogy was absolute dogshit.
Ethan Diaz
not all authoritarianism is fascist
Charles Hernandez
>in this board, there's a rising demand for Superman to have Red Son or Injustice Superman's personality to be the default Superman What?
Logan Brown
That still doesn't make it good. Unless someone tries to claim that the USSR aren't socialist but fascist.
Gavin Morgan
Have a look at the archived superman threads. Almost all of them has posts about Superman being evil because he doesn't invade North Korea, China and Russia or actively hunt and kill all white supremacist groups or something like that.
Camden Ortiz
Reminder liberalism doesn't necessarily mean left wing. Carry on.
Dylan James
There is a world of difference between, killing ethnonationalist wannabes, topplikg dictatorships and declaring yourself ruler of the fuckdamn world.
Evan Johnson
You don't do all that without all the "take over the world" mindset.
Oliver Taylor
This argument is only used by delusional redditors so far left that anything right of stalin equals nazism. No one is going to bring uup actual cases like classical liberalism today.
Daniel Turner
There is no functional difference between a government run by Fascists and a government run by Marxists. Fascism itself is basically a cope ideology invented by Italian Socialists who had a collective meltdown when they realized that they were going to get their workers' revolution.
