Will this thing ever get rebooted? It's not fair that Powerpuff Girls gets rebooted five times yet they haven't even touched EEnE yet.
Will this thing ever get rebooted...
The creator fully owns the show, it can only be rebooted if he allows it.
And he won't, he actively refuses work in animation because he's not allowed that kind of control again.
Good.
Why's it good? Do you know how many animators would kill for a reboot of their show?
And how many of them have actually been good?
Super Secret Secret Squirrel
I don't think any creator wants to see a reboot of their show without their involvement.
DuckTales 2017
Rise of the TMNT
Teen Titans Go
And the new PPG show with Craig McCracken
It's timeless. A reboot will only besmirch its glint.
And yet the new PPG has the original creator yet people are still bitching.
Fuck that. EEnE had a great run and ended on a good note. There's no need to desecrate it with a reboot.
And for those interested, Danny Antonucci is pretty active on Instagram and shares a lot of fan art of the show on his page.
Why do people keep saying Danny owns the rights to the show? I have yet to see a source/proof on it. I have my doubts that anyone at QB, Turner, or Cartoon Network would have allowed that to happen
IPs deserve more respect. There's a reason CN isn't viewed in the same light as Nickelodeon or Disney.
If you ask me, Chowder probably has the best chance of getting rebooted or continuing, or at least a special of some sorts. I've seen it on TikTok and Twitter, zoomers fucking eat this show up like candy. Lil Nas X probably had a big part to play in that
Such a great show from beginning to end with the movie coming full circle and they can't defile it either so fuck them.
Imagine if CN brought back all their old shows. It would be so based.
Wow dude, those are all extremely terrible remakes.
just here to remind people that CN does own the show, check the copyright info on the back of any of the DVD releases and it clearly says that the Ed, Edd n Eddy IP is trademarked and copyrighted by Cartoon Network
but to answer OP's question, I kinda doubt it since EEnE wasn't the merchandising juggernaut that PPG was. but if they ever wanted to, they probably only would if they could get Danny on board like they did with Craig for PPG/Foster's
I mean, do they really need him back on board. With Craig it was nice but not really necessary.
>not fair
You mean good. You don't more content for the sake of content
why do you want it to come back? have you seen what happens to cartoon revivals lately?
user I want more PPG and Foster's
Because it was a big part of my childhood and I desperately want to see them again? Besides if a reboot is good enough for Craig McCracken, it should be good enough for Danny Antonucci.
