What happens when executives realize AI can create better designs than actual people at this point?
>designs isn't suitable for animation
Even just better shots with that five-tone shading that's been thrown out by everyone else?
>they still have to deconstruct that picture for animation
so do actual film directors, with scribbly storyboards.

t. drawlet

you definitely can't just shit out an AI image and call it art
1. AI art has no copyright
2. The artifacting on any AI image is usually horrendous

You're telling me there's seriously NOTHING here?

Even if OpenAI sucks the cock and makes it subscriber-only, there's already AI out there RAPIDLY approaching their level.

Daffy duck is that you?

When was the last time The Simpsons had any presence, any life to its drawings, any SOUL?
1997? 2006? 1987?

Give it a couple of years

the ai that generated these images was trained on thousands of traditional drawings

It'll be subscriber-only for decades user. Do you have any idea how expensive Dall-E is to run? The sheer computational power required to create a single image of a Simpsons character? The only reason Microsoft is allowing Dall-E to do these test runs is to train the AI. Commercial use is a pipe dream.

Human artists are also trained on thousands of traditional drawings

Reminds me of that "free speech" forum that turned out to just be a datamine for a alt right talk points so the company could make a political content filter.

There will also be a lawsuit the size of Texas when the first stolen art becomes evident.

Surely there’s SOMEONE in the industry that cares enough about art to not use AI right? They can’t all be money grubbers

It can create better designs than bottom tire artists who are just starting but that's it

God, Graggle looks so badass in that frame

There's nothing there.
AI functions on what you feed into it. You will always need a person to create the stuff fed into that AI. It couldn't design simpsons characters on its own, a person has to teach it what "simpsons characters" means.

There's nothing here
Drawing functions on what you learn from outside feedback. You will always need a reference to teach you what you are drawing.
Even if learning what a Simpsons character looks like is entirely done with just memories of looking at them on TV, that's still from being taught what a Simpsons character looks like.

these all look like soulless garbage and they're just a collage made up of thousands of images YWNBAH

>Even if learning what a Simpsons character looks like is entirely done with just memories of looking at them on TV, that's still from being taught what a Simpsons character looks like.
Groening still had to create them in the first place.
