The real question is: why is it that whenever a cartoon does something like this, it always looks so much worse than actual anime?
I'm not even comparing it to anything I would consider to be notably high quality or impressive art for the genre. Even normal-tier cheaply made seasonal anime has, you know, *shading* and shit, which is more than cartoons can apparently muster these days.
