What exactly is going to happen with Dark Crisis? How many times is DC going to reboot their own continuity?
What exactly is going to happen with Dark Crisis? How many times is DC going to reboot their own continuity?
>How many times is DC going to reboot their own continuity?
As many times they can before closing down shop.
This is how the comic industry have worked the last ten years.
Sales decline --> crisis --> new #1 --> sales increase --> sales decline --> crisis --> ...
Dick told you already, they're gonna spend the summer doing a bunch of nothing and then the dead people will come back again and everything will be the same.
they'll just introduce 5G but this time for real
Unless this crisis involves rewinding the clock back to before The New 52, I'm not interested
DC's 5G gives me cancer for real.
Dick and Jon are going to kiss
Jon is gonna get Dick's dick
Marvel reboots just as often, if not more frequently, you just don't notice it
I hope by the end of the event DC will have an actual plan for the future and a renewed staff of people who can actually draw, write and coordinate the talent so we can all forget about this nightmare of a time.
But things will probably keep spyraling into nothingness.
is this a bait thread or DC is actually doing a reboot?
maybe i will start reading again
>but but but other thing!
Shut the fuck up nerd this whole industry deserves to go under
The JLA just died and Nightwing was so over it he told Superman's son not to worry because they'd be back just like the other times. Keep in mind DC currently works with the premise Everything Is Canon.
So no, they're not rebooting. It's literally "let's not even pretend that the new status quo we're building this event for is going to stick". Totally pointless dumb summer event of nothingness.
Honestly no they don’t, onslaught was the first big reboot, which came at about the equivalent time of the first crisis for DC, then they rebooted with secret war. I think each character has gotten rebooted in their own books as many times as DC has bit marvels only done the line wide reboot two or three times over their history, as opposed to DCs rebooting two or three times in the last decade
Yes. Dark Crisis is reboot
>What exactly is going to happen with Dark Crisis?
Same thing that happened with Death Metal, nothing.
I stand my opinion at this point they should just hard reboot every 10 years as a fixed thing.
Each continuity last 10 years, then reboot a wholly new continuity, ane verybody knows that from the start.
Jon is for Damian!
But that doesn't solve the main issue with the reboots, which is that they are just an excuse to retell the same stories all over again with a slight difference or two. If anything it probably makes it worse.
They'll reboot, and introduce a new Justice League:
>Superman - A black astronaut from another universe, who crash lands on Earth and finds our laws of physics combined with his atomic makeup grant him incredible powers.
>Batman - The heir to a major Japanese car manufacturer who survived a terrorist attack that claimed the lives of his parents. Using his vast resources, he wages a one man war on crime.
>Wonder Woman - A Martian princess who leads her people back to Earth after millions of years on another world. She ultimately wants peace between the two cultures, and is unforgiving to anyone on either side who would jeopardize that.
>Flash - Survivor of Nazi experiments seeking to create the ultimate soldier. Though he is nearly a century old, he looks just as he did in his prime. From his point of view, the fastest man alive has been around for over a million years.
>Green Lantern - An elite warrior of the Martian army, who finds himself an unwitting patsy of a conspiracy to create a false flag attack that would push Mars and Earth to war.
>Aquaman - The last surviving son of Titan, he was sent to Earth by his scientist father and raised by a fisherman and his wife.
>Hawkgirl - A former circus performer and Batman's protege, she is a victim of cyborg experiments carried out by the same cult that murdered his parents. Walking a fine line between human and machine, she soon discovers her augmentations were only a small part of the cult's designs for her.
I get what you were going for at the start but why does Hawkgirl have literally nothing to do with a hawk or a girl, much less with the Hawks?
