I still can’t believe a major studio actually okayed these movies. Did Schumacher just hate Batman or something?

No he just wanted to make Batman gay
Keep trying, OP. Your last 2 attempts got you humiliated, maybe a third times a charm.
Fuck you. I liked them.
They're not so bad they're good, they're not camp, they're just bad.
same
Schumacher never hated Batman. In fact, there's an argument to be made he loved Batman more than burton or Nolan. It's just that WB literally hired him for the express purpose of making something tame and McDonald's -friendly. He didn't really have a choice but to tone things down. Fwiw, Forever has an actual arc for Batman, which neither of the previous films had. It was even more fleshed out in earlier cuts before deleting kino scenes in favor of Jim Carrey twerking or whatever. I like tho that the second film just fully embraced the zaniness and it came out better for it. Honestly I love both films. They have such style. They're cheesy as hell and that's the appeal.
Fuck you
They were bad when they came out, and they're still bad.
Based everyone on Any Forums is one person schizo
He was a boomer and a homo. He thought he was making "funny books".
>weeeeeeeeeeee
Yeah so horrible.
Batman Forever did much better than Batman Returns.
Batman 89 did good, Returns not so. When Schumacher got Batman franchise they said it was dead. Then Batman Forever did great and WBs reaction was "Were back on boys" and rushed the sequel, which didnt do as good because of the rushed script and so Schumacher ended up like Burton. Batman Begins barely did better than Forever, where as Forever did much better than Returns. To say thats a bad film is plain stupid.
Schumacher actually liked the comics and respected them. As well as all Batman media. Unlike every other director.
Anyone who doesnt like this doesnt like comics. As Schumacher once said to his critics:
"Batman is a comic book. It's supposed to be a comic book. It was created in 1939 to be a comic book. We made a living comic book. Thats what it's SUPPOSED to be."
Fuck off.
You could say the exact same thing about the 60's show
Shoe maker revisionists are so gay, and they ALLL sprang up around the same exact time as some Youtube videos reassessing these movies. People are just literally parenting hack e celebs thinking they have a hot take. It's like the wave of people these days who are suddenly like "ACTUALLY....LIMP BIZKIT WAS A GOOD BAND".
Post the youtube videos you lying fuck. You think everyones just like you, a braindead consoomer who parrots other peoples opinions?
Go post on IMDB tourist. Im sure theyll all laugh at you anyways when you have the gall to think any Batman movie is an amazing piece of cinema.
Lmao, posters: 10 replies: 16
That one mexican making all these threads is really angry and getting his revenge.
two face was the best part in batman forever
>Videos made 1 and 2 years ago
Nice try buddy, you seethe (you are).
This.
So? Seether
You don't understand Batman if you hated either one.
Batman and Robin is a bad movie but it fundamentally understands Batman better than the Nolan trilogy did.
youtu.be
lmao no
All of the most famous Batman stories are dark. Nobody cares about "muh lighthearted fun"
The most famous Batman story is the one where he pees his pants and it gets absorbed into his suit.
what a gay opinion
Shove it, GOTG fan
Joel didn't ruined these movies, McDonald's did.
Schumacher was the proto-Michael Bay. Makes pure schlock that makes everyone seethe except true connoisseurs of fun popcorn flicks
Schumacher admitted he only knew about the Adam West version of Batman, and was told to make Batman more kid friendly than the 2 Burton flicks. He was just following orders user.
>Fred Durst makes faggots seethe still to this day
Everybody say it with me now! I DID IT ALL FOR THE NOOKIE
>Zoomers are so braindead they don't know that Adam West's Batman is how the public perceived the character for decades
No he just had a different idea on where to take Batman while studio execs were giddy to profit off the merchandise and toys and damn the quality
Batman Forever still has a certain degree of darkness in it but then goes full ham in the sequel
It isn't relevant what boomers were nostalgic for in a movie made to appeal to the current crowd
>It isn't relevant
You really are retarded
Nah, I am 32 years old. I was the target demo for these movies and I absolutely hated it because MY Batman was Burton and TAS. I nor anyone else my age, the target demo, gave a shit about reliving some ancient gay camp
>ancient gay camp
You sound like a fucking tryhard. Get over yourself
I knew you were a millennial from your Batman should be edgy shpiel.
you're a goofy nigga
I used to think B&R sucks
Now I think it sucks but it's also fun to watch.
Batman Forever/Val Kilmer I can give more respect for kind of trying and still laugh at the parts that are dumb
Yes. Way better than the Riddler.
Nah, his actual filmography is pretty diverse. Go watch Falling Down. He just went full blockbuster on these ones because he was literally told to make something safe.
I never saw either film 'til I was a grown adult so I got to skip thru both childish appreciation and childish denunciation to see the films for they really are: so cheesy they're good.
while way worse than the average MCU movie, they also have more personality than most MCU films nowadays. weird.
It's fucking Warner Bros. They don't understand shit outside focus groups shortcuts.
I can say the same about all of the 2000s batman movies.
