Is there a bigger waste than having a throwing knife or archer expert in a kids show? You know they're never gonna be allowed to hit anyone considering the damage they would deal.

Uh don't worry she just um... pins people to the wall! Yeah, that's right! She just pins them to the wall by their clothes. They look dead because they're... uh... demoralized by defeat.

that pretty much goes for any weapon being used in a children's cartoon.
80s turtles weren't allowed to use their weapon (and michelangelo weapon got outright changed to something else in the uk version)

Now you mention it, Xandra only killed robots, sniped items out of grips, and stunned larger enemies when they were direct hits.

Yeah, they got rid of the nunchaku and replaced it with a fucking grappling hook. It was awful and I hated it. It's always blown my mind that the nunchaku were considered more violent than the duel katanas.

even sokka was only allowed to use his sword against the tank turrets.

Anyone who has a gun

i think that was because several countries but specialy the UK was cracking down on the nunchaku at that time. because bruce lee movies made it popular but loads of people where injuring themselves with them.

Humanity made a mistake when we stopped allowing natural selection to cull the worst of us

>Uh don't worry she just um... pins people to the wall!

Yeah, that's pretty much all they're allowed to do. I wonder how much precision and luck it would take to pull that off, especially when your target is moving.

Wait, didn't the UK also remove the name ninja from the title because it was violent too? They called it Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles iirc.

yes they did.

It's a good way to stop benders, her skill is really useful

Well it's a show with 3-4 sword experts (Zuko, Sokka etc) and they barely use them
Hell, Sokka goes on a full training episode and never uses it again although part of the reason because of that is S3 being rushed, hence why it only has 21 episodes.

I think we could all agree that animation would be 10000x better if we ripped out the corporate bullshit holding them back.

No

I see that, but I raise you these:

Neither of those are shows and one is just Dragon Ball shit. Exceptions don't overcome the rule.

>Book 3 was rushed

What? This is the first I'm hearing of that.

What's the rule, bootlicker?

Not really part of conversation but…eh, 50/50. 90s managed to be a good era for animation all things considered.
