They are shit and don't make anything good.

Its founding marks the downfall of the american comics
A lot of great comics have been published by image. The business model is good: You throw shit at the wall and see what sticks. The bad is forgotten and the good is remembered.
I'm not sure how strong their titles have been lately, much of it has felt especially forgettable.
Image has a bunch of classic titles by now: saga, deadly class, criminal, etc. i don't think that's up for debate, really. Their current lineup is probably not their best, but i do like the silver coin a lot.
A huge benefit for creator's rights.
And creating some of the best titles in the past 10 years.
Depends on the book but not a fan how lot of their books now are just TV/Movie pitches.
The talented people realized they could make more than just a barely living wage by leaving the Marvel and DC sweatshop, and then the house of cards started collapsing.
I like that they publish a lot of genres other than capeshit that DC and Marvel seem unwilling to touch - crime, fantasy, horror etc
Wednesday warrior.
I try pretty much every Image/Skybound release
Can't wait for Prophet remastered. They really should embrace the 90's extreme, it will be the 80's vaporware of this decade.
It’s mostly shit.
Almost nobody who releases a book through image gets paid, the book has to recoup cost first and most don’t
For all of le epic creator owned comics talk the only thing I actually give a shit about is Stray Bullets.
That said I respect Kirkman for his commercial endeavours, it seems to me like everyone wants a quick tv deal but aren't willing to graft a long form comic out to do so
Except Brubaker books.
One trick pony, and not an especially good trick either.
I like that they publish something between capeshit and fantagraphics art shit. Significantly more interested in them than other major american publishers.
Earth War was better
I liked Supreme: Story of the Year and Astro City from their cape selection.
From their non-cape, I can't think of anything I thoroughly enjoyed.
This is probably why I don't really like their stuff. They're too close to capes and cape writing.
Their Prophet reboot with the goofy sci-fi setting is GOAT, and I really liked the Invincible TV series, but haven't bothered reading the preceding superhero comics for either. Getting into super hero universes is too much of a chore.
