Japan is very westaboo outside of their entertainment industry. They hold the western canon in higher regard to their own stuff, and get offended if you group them up with other "foreign" countries

I know this is trying to make fun of us, but I think westaboos are based. There's a lot of debate over King of the Hill and how to watch it. Some people don't like the Japanese dub and want to catch all the cultural references.

Yep. Disney is huge in japan. Hell one of the oldest anime creators Osamu Tszuka was inspired by them to make characters like astro boy and leo the lion. And then there's stuff like Kingdom Hearts and Marvel Vs Capcom. Anime like One Punch Man and My Hero Academia were inspired by western style superhero comics. Video games like Metroid and Contra were inspired by the Alien movies. I believe Triguns setting was heavily inspired by western movies. There's more examples I can't think of rn. But yeah, they exist.
