I’d make Gwen a little older than Ben like 13 or 14 and I’d make her a goth with all the typical goth interests like monsters and the supernatural so when she discovers her magic powers she’d have a more Wicca aesthetic and overall be an opposite to Ben’s science fiction theme, I’d also make Ben more into a “geek” who’s into comic books and science fiction. You know, have their powers match with their interests and hobbies and give more of a reason of why thy’d be so naturally proficient in their respective abilities (like Ben copies moves he sees in video games as aliens and Gwen uses her knowledge witchcraft and other spooky, arcane shit)
I’d make Gwen older because she’d act more like Ben’s moral anchor and a “big sister” type that Ben looks up to but would never admit to it. She’d still be very intelligent for her age and she occasionally teases Ben but not to an obnoxious degree.

That’s a good idea too. I love my goth girl Wicca Gwen idea but your big sister idea is something I can see working, especially if Gwen’s brother Kn was a covert Plumber or something, that way Ben and Gwen would both have siblings that are opposite compliments to their respective abilities and Ken and Ben’s sister would have the same theme going on as their younger siblings.
Although, Ben’s goth witch sister might need to be a practitioner of a different kind of magic to be more distinct from Gwen’s even if she has a more traditional Wicca theme rathe than the obvious Doctor Strange inspiration that her magic has, like maybe Voodoo something. Unless of course the Wicca magic looks and functions differently enough from Gwen’s to be her own thing.
