Rippaverse is here to stay

Over 1.2 million dollars earned.

When's the last time superman comics made that type of money?

I'm curious to see if the comics are actually good. I might buy the first issue to check it out. The thing that really attracts me is Eric says he really big on continuity and having an understandable timeline. It's one of my biggest issues with DC.

uh

30 years of Bad ideas .

Does this intend to be actually interesting or does its idea of "nonpolitical" mean swapping out hamfisted woke shit for hamfisted chud shit?

It's another youtuber comic what do you think?
If you want apolitical just go to Any Forums and read manga.

I will never understand why this shit makes people so mad, but it's hilarious.

No one's mad. Seriously I'm trying to look for the most buthurtt takes and all I've found is one guy lying about inspect element.

Literally everyone else doesn't give a shit or are giving normal levels of skepticism yet there being labeled as cancel hungry sjws. It makes you guys look mad if anything

>I'm not mad, u-ur mad!

Manga has gays and blacks tho.

Here's hoping, he's got some longtime industry veterans working the art for him: Cliff Richards on penciling and inking, and Gabe Eltaeb on coloring. Cliff actually still actively works on DC comics as well. So I have high hopes for the art at least, I hope the writing can keep up.

c'mon man, you can do better.

80% of the characters are black
this shit is marvel but independent

Okay? Original black characters will always be better then "Yet Another Black Spider-Man/Superman!"

....so what the fuck is it about? Black Superman?

>Avery Silman was once an entry-level hero known as Isom in the city of Florespark, Texas shortly after gaining his special abilities. A certain event had him hang up his suit, and now he stays on the outskirts of the city, living as a rancher.

>Avery’s sister, Altona, gives him a call and wants him to visit an old friend by the name of Darren Fontaino. Another family friend that was interning with Altonta has gone missing and she last heard that she was dealing with Darren. But Darren has much changed since he was hanging out with Avery when they were young. He’s a cold-blooded shot-caller and one of the most feared men in the city.

>This visit turns into one of the longest days in Avery’s life. Around these parts, people call ‘special beings’ Excepts. And unfortunately for Avery, he has the luxury of running into some of them. The Alphacore and Yaira have their own set of conflicts. A man built like a tank by the name of Santwan reappears and he’s had previous confrontation with Avery. So what happens with Avery and Darren’s meeting? Who and where is the family friend? Just grab Isom #1: Ill-Advised Pt. 1 and find out for yourself!

could be good

I'm not mad, just annoyed by the shilling
This shit is literally nothing we haven't seen before

Yeah, it's sounding like it's going to be a lot more street level as opposed to the world/reality ending stuff Marvel/DC can't seem to let go. I'm into the street level heroes, going lower key like that can bring a lot more to the table with characterization.

Spamming is against the rules, Eric.

Quick, somebody post the screencap proving that Eric is just adding extra numbers onto the actual total donated so he can pretend this is successful

medsmedsmedsmedsmeds

You do know that it's people like you who take the bait and throw temper tantrums are the ones that bring about these threads, right?

I guess I'll remain cautiously optimistic. It looks decent, but I guess we'll see how it actually turns out.

>writing original black characters instead of hijacking legacy characters
>characters who happen to be black instead of characters whose blackness is their only defining feature
>made by actual black guy instead of performative white numales
This is totally fine unless you just don't like black people.

You mean this post? The one the guy realized he was wrong on and deleted?

Here's the guy that called him on his code illiteracy and prompted him to delete the tweet:

black kings discover they have power and save the world from evil white people

>it's the fault of people who are sick of shitty spam threads for a crappy alt-right grift, not the retard who keeps spamming the grift or mods for not banning his fat ass
>already playing the race card
Getting kinda obvious, Eric.

I won't lie about being excited for it, but when it comes down to it I agree. It has to turn out well and hit the ground running to retain me as a buyer, if it falls back towards the same preachy stuff Marvel/DC does just with a rightwing flavor I'll drop it. All in all I'm just not looking to be preached at in my comics, I don't dislike political themes but the lack of nuance these days has made a lot of stories very hard to read.

Isn't this dude an antivaxxer?
Polite sage.

When?

The guy had no idea PHP was a thing? Because that would be "coding with Carly" level of stupidity (I think it was Carly, don't recall for sure - she used to post pictures of her entering wrong commands into the Linux shell and pretending it was code while braindead followers who had no understanding on what any of this meant were clapping with both hands and demanding the keys of the city be given to her for her astonishing programming skills)
