the writing of early spongebob is exactly why it was so good. the animation was nothing special but it had good style and design.

Never pitch your ideal show unless it's your fetish. Losing it is worth it if you get even one season of it.

SpongeBob is the best cartoon on TV. The only people speaking the opposite, trying to claim it's one of the worst somehow, are people speaking in their own self-interest as they work in the industry or want to work.
People's opinion of it comes from nostalgia, hence why season 4 moved in recently.

The artist page says that applicants need to be 18+ years old, and that they need to have authorization to legally work in the US.

You can take my comments with a grain of salt but I am in those official animation clubs in those "big time" colleges and I had a friend try to do those "pitch your show" thing that Viacom does every year and he was able to make towards the 2nd round of elimination with his cartoon character but was eliminated, he can longer draw those characters anymore. He literally did a small drawing at his insta of the characters and it got taken down by some Viacom rep, keep in mind he barely has 1k+ followers yet Viacom striked down his shit, I wouldn't trust these fuckers and thier contracts

reading the requirements for it, I find it a bit funny one of the thing you need to do is essentially write an industry formatted fanfic for one of the shows listed (which aren't all from Viacom btw)

Not sure how I will be able to pitch a show about lactation and breastfeeding to nickelodeon without being too explicit.
