I just think it's unrealistic that viltrumites wouldn't have an added level of compassion toward earth and humans compared to ugly xeno scum. Realistically they should see us as their weak cousins but still vastly preferable to anything else in space due to our similarities and genetic compatibility (with negligible loss in offspring power)

They killed their own species for being weak, that's literally what the end goal of the holocaust was: erasing an entire race for a specific trait associated with that race. They want to do that to every other species in existence.
The only reason they wouldn't slaughter all of humanity is that they slaughtered most of their own fucking race, can't outbreed their own patience for intergalactic domination and have to scour the galaxy for races that are capable of producing Viltrumite hybrids so that they may replenish the ranks they killed.

Why waste technology on the weaker ones to be more like the stronger ones, when they can just kill the weak and make the stronger ones even stronger? They seem more concerned with making the 'average' Viltrumite stronger then increase their races overall strength, their culture seems to value principle over practicality.
