What's the Any Forumsnsensus on this movie? Watched kt like 3 or 4 years ago, it hiught the animation was excellent in a world where 3D shit reigns, but the plot was the stupidest, most convoluted shit ever, having like 5 plotlines that all connect in the very end, and sloppily at that, but despite that, it still holds a place in my heart for being so pretty to look at.
Muthafukaz
What else did these guys work on?
wakfu
See, what I don't understand is, Okay: This alien conspiracy is supposedly the government. They have an army of cloned alien police officers able to murder the FUCK out of gangs as shown near the start.
So why the fuck didn't they just send in their kill squad of killer Cop clones to deal with the Black stereotype gang encampment? that would have been over and done with in like 10 minutes that way.
>Nice animation
>Crap story
Same goes for just about every other obscure Any Forums movie with a mature tone. Any exceptions?
I personally liked it, but I didn't have high expectations in the first place. The vibe was nice, but yeah, story and characters were rather forgettable
This
It was good but story doesn't get better. It's one thing to not expect it to be coherent, but it's another for it to fail to be entertaining in a narrative sense in the final quarter. It was visually appealing but I always wanted something cooler. It's a solid 7/10
This was a really weird movie in every aspect. How did this get made? How did the comic get made?
the writers actually expect you to have read some of the graphic novels and know a bunch of characters that have little to no screentime at the start of this but other than that is visually great.
Gimme the rundown. How mature are we talkin' here?
>mature
Completely skipped that part, don't know what happened in my brain
Because it's french-japanese
That's cool, that's epic, not gonna do that
Sums it up nicely. It looks pretty but is a mess.
I watched like 20% and the movie is still on pause. To this day.
E&C's story was simple, but far from "crap" though
I would suggest reading the comic it better explains the Luchadors with a murder mystery, there is a yakuza Traid gang war, and the protagonist fights a lot more.
In addition at the end while the protagonist is still a delivery boy he ranks up working at a better store and has himself a sick Japanese motorcycles.
I'm pretty sure it was an akira situation where the sauce material was just way too fucking much so they tried to condense it. It probably would've worked as a show because yeah as a movie it's incoherent
I might check them out, because it is kinda interesting, but then again, movie didn't covered that all that wall
Loved the animation
Liked most of the characters
Liked the Soundtrack
Ending felt rushed
Still love Shakespeare and that whole Barrett sequence.
>exceptions
Venture Bros
Sex Death and Robots
Bojack Horseman
it could be argued that Hilda has a mature tone
It was good shit, would have seen it in theaters if it wasn't a hundred mile drive on a weekday only.
There straight up feels like [scene missing] happened between several key moments that leaves the plot kind of lacking, and the main characters are going out of their way to not participate in the story. Vibes and aesthetics make up for it, feels like a science fiction pulp.
