This was a way better video than the first half of his Lion King review. There was a lot of research done on the kimba video where as his Lion King one just feels more like rambling.

While it's reasonable and fair to bring up the less than tasteful way africans were drawn, I don't really appreciate how willing he is to throw Tezuka under the bus for it. He was a very progressive thinker for his time, but that doesn't change the fact that he was also a product of his time and had all of the internalized biases that come with it. That doesn't make them right, but that doesn't make Tezuka a bad person either.
It feels kind of wrong to me to not acknowledge that in favor of just making jabs, but Adam already has a bias against animation (and anything that isn't an arthouse film for that matter) so I guess this is par for the course for him.

The fact YMS had to ignore Claw and Scar even though they are important characters to both stories already show they had serious doubts about their own theory.
