They've been cancelling a bunch of Disney TV merch lately so it sounds like a company-wide problem. Might be a sign that the company's underperforming so they're trying to save money wherever possible, even if it's a tiny amount here and there. Doesn't (or at least, it shouldn't) reflect poorly on the shows themselves.
Honestly, a greater tragedy would be the Amphibia book getting canned. Too late for the Owl House at this point. Also, for what it's worth, the book is still listed on the main Disney website. Don't really know what the situation is there.

This confirms my suspicion that Disney has 100% given up on this show and how Disney + more or less sells itself regardless of what TV Animation projects they're working on.
Molly will get its 2nd season and then quietly get cancelled because Disney is moving past its Gravity Falls phase back into its Phineas and Ferb phase. Milo and Hamster and Gretel are Disney subconsciously asking its consumer base if its OK to just reknew Phineas and Ferb because thats the actual kind of content it wants on its block right now.

Disney is just being dirt cheap with their TV channel nowadays to shovel more money into streaming. Just look at how inexpensive that Hamster Gretel show is.
