JCM/Mapache is an artist who had shown some aspiration with his art, but eventually fell down the rabbit-hole of loli/shota porn because it pays the bills. Appealing to the degenerates of The Loud House Fandom is like striking oil, and once you find it, you can never let go of it, lest you return to the impoverished state that you were in.

Another case like Mapache is Sabrotiger, an artist who had aspirations of a dark fantasy comic before giving up in favour of birthing and bestiality furry porn.

This. JCM's original work is leagues more interesting than his IP porn, but obviously it doesn't make him fat stacks like drawing Lola Loud's ass being reamed does, so why waste his time on it? I can hardly blame him.

My only hope is that he's making SO much money that he's saving for an early retirement in order to allow himself to work on his own things full time, but I have this feeling that he'd never give up the easy money, and that he probably enjoys what he currently draws anyway so his own concepts may be voluntarily taking a back seat to it all.
He's objectively a good artist with extremely admirable technical skills all over the spectrum; perspective, backgrounds, realism, stylization, clothing detail, intimate knowledge of his digital toolset etc., it's just a shame it's wasted on the subject matter that he's found himself immersed in.
Wish he'd at least draw more milfs, his cougar content is fucking incredible.

There were only trace amounts of lewd subjects in his original work, tending instead to be much more surreal. Though it covered a lot of areas at times; sometimes comedic, sometimes downright gorey. Pic related is a tame example that I happen to have on hand.
