What power or ability best fits this character archetype?

Mind control is probably the best thematically

Also posting my favorite

I like when its just something like fire really.

Yeah, that’s a pretty good choice, though I prefer ice powers myself

Telekinesis is a good one if she’s very controlling

>best example

Sasha was kind of pushy but she definitely wasn't a 'mean girl' archetype

Something related with manipulation or brute force. For pic related in particular, i'm thinking on explosive throwables.

Something that doesn't fit their archetype. It forces you to be more creative with their characterization going forward which, indirectly, prevents them from being shoehorned in spots they don't belong. You'll be more conscious of when, where and how you use them. Basically incourages you to be a smarter writer by creating a more complex character and, if you're a good writer, building on that complexity. Perfect example is pic related

Yeah, that’s something I try to do a bunch, though I always make it fit the personality
But I wanted to hear other opinions

Indeed. Honestly it’d be cool to see a queen bee capable of literally pushing people away

Boscha in a maid dress? we've been blessed!

Probably leaning too much into /tg/ here, but when I ran a Mutants & Masterminds campaign set in a school, I gave the smug rich villainess really strong Telekinesis. My reasoning was that it's literally just manipulation at a distance, which is pretty fitting for the character archetype. It's also just blatantly superior to most other powers, so I could play that into the whole 'better than you and knows it' thing.

Honestly sounds pretty good, and it’s not too /tg/ for this thread. Also do you prefer telekinesis with an aura or invisible movements?

We did pretty good with her

Doesn't matter. Powers are unnecessary, what matters is vibrant charisma and proper directing. You can just make them peak human if you want, power levels don't matter and are assigned arbitrarily in different scenes.

Sometimes powers are relevant to the argument of the character, like a manipulative person gets mind control or a strong personality/argument gets physical strength. But it honestly doesn't matter.

What matters is that they have something valuable to say and can dis-empower the main character to say it until the final epiphany of the MC allows them to see the answer that the villain could not.

Women, typically pair well with witchy shit. This girl in OP seems like she casts fire and runic curses, maybe has residual strength because she's a cyclops. I can picture her taking power over the scene by physically brutalizing people and using fire magic to intimidate and take control of the speaker to express her views in a scene.

As a general rule, auras if they've got other powers, invisible if it's their only power. Don't know why I settled on that, but it seems to work.

Nice, that’s a good rule. Personally I reflect telekinesis differently depending on the character’s personality. Be it invisible, aura, sparkling aura, or one particular case where everything they hold appears to be wrapped in ethereal strings

I like that. As an aside, I've always preferred things held up by magic to have runes, or magic circles suspending them. Helps to distinguish magic from 'regular' powers.

Unshakable confidence in their own superiority is the only power that they need.
