Yeah, if you look through the archives there's a bunch of webms comparing Emira to like...every popular anime. It's pretty damning and definitely goes beyond homage. With the exception of the last two episodes which were animated by Sun Creature Studio and are pretty amazing.
It's still a fun show though and I liked it.
