Any Forums was trying to convince me for months this wasn’t going to flop though and that Bobs Burgers was AKSHUALLY very popular

>multiple people involved with the project died during production
>got release date fucked in the ass by covid
>release date and marketing also fucked by the mouse
>no big celebrity guest voice name to slap on the poster
>based off an animated series years after it was relevant
>eventually released same day as the highly anticipated TOP GUN sequel

Notice how the number keeps rising?

It's a niche show with very niche appeal. That's an insane budget. Did they think they were the Simpsons suddenly?

Ftr this is maybe my favorite animated series of all time, alongside King of the Hill.

what numbers? It was 20m last weekend and it only went up to 23.9 this weekend. That’s it.

>Did they think they were the Simpsons suddenly?
the very outspoken online fanbase would believe you to think so. I’m a big fan of seasons 1 through like 8 but they have to be deliberately naive to think the mass public cares about a bobs burgers movie

Does Louise show her feet?

Were never going to get 2d animation in theaters ever again.

I think so? I hardly remember. It might have been fanart I'm thinking of. However the entire movie is basically the Louise movie, so even if there isn't feet you'll get your money's worth.

I will now buy your bluray.

I swear this was greenlit and practically done before rona was even a thing. It had to be.

It's a shame, the movie's actually pretty good.

Does it suck?

No, it is good.

They had Paul Rudd yet didn't include him in any ads for some reason.

The animation was great but they overdid the shadows so much that it is essentially a meme now. They should have taken notes from the first spongebob movie and focused on more expressive animation.

it was announced in 2017 so you're at least half right.

why is Any Forums celebrating this movies failure so hard

This should've released several years ago, OR they should've chopped it up into a 3 episode "movie" with the standard episode budget. They didn't really do much with their budget that warranted making a movie. The shadows were distracting, and the dancing animations were smooth but looked weird. Also a few scenes looked super bad, like the beginning where Bob and Linda walk to the bank across the street. Also way too much time spent on the kids and not enough on Bob.
Also is anyone else getting sick of the Belcher torture porn? Just have them be successful for once.

They are successful bro.

Money is only one measure of success. There was an episode where Bob's rich friend made his restaurant fancy and he started making a lot more money. But to Bob, he values many things above money. With money only being a concern for actually keeping them afloat.

They have an actual, loving family. They don't want to kill each other like most cheap cartoons. They truly love and support each other... Louise is a probable actual genius, she could easily be a lawyer or something but wants to take over the restaurant. Tina is pretty content in herself. Gene is definitely at ease with who he is, and like Bob he values art over money. Gene and Bob would never "sell out".
