It can't get fine details right partially because it's still learning but mainly because of how it actually works. The images that are actually generated from the text itself are actually extremely low-rez, and then the AI does upscaling and extrapolation to blow it up to a normal resolution.

Again, that's just a common misconception by laymen and it assumes the theoretical endpoint is achievable and scalable with the current model. General solutions are as rare as they are difficult to create, and while these text to image bots are absolutely fucking fascinating they are nowhere near practical application. The best thing we'll get from Dall-e 2 is a better understanding of the neural net structure(s) the researchers used and another influx of investor cash.
What really fascinates me is that these tti generators seem to form their own personal written language. IIRC with the original Dall-e testers asked for "chefs discussing food," got word bubbles with gibberish in it, ran the gibberish through the TTI, and got images of food. They also found words for Birds.
