Which one you prefer? Blue Sky' second film or DreamWorks' first in-house CG film?

Robots and it isn’t close.

I think they're about the same level. I would say that Robots is probably more visually interesting (not a huge fan of the designs, but the city felt vast and the action parts were decent).

I enjoyed Robots as a kid, and I still find it pretty enjoyable now.
Legit don't remember anything about Shark Tale as I only saw it once when it was in theaters.

This 100%

Robots.
Shark Tale is literally DreamWorks brand of comedy summed up in a nutshell.

Robots is better but Shark Tale is great to watch if you just want to laugh at it

>Oscar, Angie, Lenny/Sebastian, Don Lino, Sykes, Lola, Ernie, Bernie, Frankie, Luca, Katie Current, Don Feinberg, Crazy Joe, The Shorties, Shrimp, Lucky Day, Worm, Guiseppe, Pontrelli, Headphone Guy, Mrs. Sanchez, Earl (Oscar's late dad), Christina Aguilera jellyfish, Missy Elliott fish

>Rodney, Fender, Piper, Cappy, Bigweld, Ratchet, Madame Gasket, Aunt Fanny, Crank, Diesel, Lugnut, Herb, Rodney's mom, Tim, Loretta, Jack Hammer, Mr. Gunk, Ratchet's father

Shark Tale has the better cast imo

This. Robots is pretty forgettable aside from being very visually interesting, but I wouldn't call it a bad movie by any stretch. Shark Tale is almost a travesty.

I mean, if you gave me a choice for which one to watch, I'd probably say Shark Tale, but that's purely because it's bad enough to laugh at, while Robots is just sort of decent.

Christina Aguilera jellyfish is a cute

El Dorado's music video had an animated Elton John. Dreamworks already did this in their 2D days

>Jenson : production designer of El Dorado and co director of Shrek 1

>Bergeron : french co director of El Dorado

>Letterman : one of the founders of PropellerHead Design (which worked on Shrek during the Chris Farley days) Also directed the 1999 short Los Gringos

Has the Shark Tale guy ever talked about Finding Nemo before?

Shrek article from march 1997 (Farley was still alive) Rob Letterman is mentioned in it

>but what about being a somebody?
>i'm nobody without you
one of Dreamworks' best couples. She completes him

You mean a bigger cast. Bigger doesn't equal better.

>Antz, Shrek 1, Shark Tale, Madagascar 1
some of my favorite animation films ever. Three PDI films and one made in-house

Fuck you OP for unleashing SharkTale fag.

shark mafia has untapped lore potential. What's the history behind Lino, Luca, Feinberg and the other gangsters? All we know is that Lino has been running the business before Oscar was born

Damaschke, at the time, was Dreamworks' head of creative production, while Healy was the head of digital production. Had the film won the academy award, Damaschke would've gone on stage to pick it up

Scott Aukerman wrote dialogue for it and hasn't forgotten about Damaschke
