I mean, not many people are held captive for their entire live by a megalomaniac witch hunter and survive to gain free will as teenagers. I think Hunter feels natural for the kind of ostracization and abuse he was submited to. In fact i don't feel that he is that much of a sensitive bitch as i'd expect for someone that has been lied all his life about a great purpose and kept hostage in a golden cage. He is eager to put himself in danger or uncomfortable scenarios for him while still have flaws like be angsty, self centered and timid. Is also not a slow learner for what we saw on Clouds on the Horizon when he figured out discretion easily, albeit in a slighty missguided way.
