In reality he fails multiple times to bring gems on his side, and the ones he does were either not evil to begin with or take a long, LONG time and a lot of grief to come around. You can argue that the Diamonds themselves were rushed, and lots of people certainly think that (or think that they shouldn't be redeemeed at all) but that happened more because he leveraged his family relations than him being a master speech giver. It's even show the peace they made wasn't perfect, the hierarchy is still intact and many gems still willfully choose their old caste's job and he decides to give up and fuck off forever to live his own life in the end.

Naruto is basically THE series to attract the most hated anime fanbase known to Any Forums, which is why, regardless of individual opinions, it is the responsibility of every user to troll the fuck out of this show and everyone who likes it, and ensure that no Naruto threads ever encourage the newfags to show their faces here.
