Millar

Fuck civil war man

Lack of interesting villains

With characters as problematic and traitorous as Scott Summers is almost inevitable. The solution is to get rid of Scott Summers.

Yeah! Fuck Scott Summers!

Muuuuh muties lives matter

Scott was right

No he wasn’t, he was a cuck who is willing to throw everything outside the window just for some fire chicken pussy.

shut up bendis

Fuck Logan the traitor.

Logan was in the right for standing against Scott’s manipulations.

fuck no, Logan has always been proven wrong when he takes the opposite side of Scott. Like when he left Utopia "muh students shouldn't learn to fight" has his school attacked multiple times to the point that the students themselves realize Scott was right all along. And then when he is pissed at Scott having X-Force operate, after it disbands, Logan reforms it himself because even he realized that he was wrong.

He was literally right about the whole shit in AvX. Scott wanted to turn people into mutants, he is a psycho.

Marvel heroes have been fighting each other since 1940.

Because big spreads like this look cool and get people's attention.

The vast majority of Marvel villains have no traction with the general public so they resort to the basics. Popular character vs popular character is generally speaking an easy sell.

Writers think it's Shakespearean and deep, and edgy.

Marvel's old appeal was that their characters were more relatable. Writers gave the heroes more and more faults over the years. Invariably, a couple of them became so messed up that they became as villainous as some of the traditional villains. That said, while the cause of the heroes fighting each other happened fairly organically, the execution has been anything but. Civil War, AvX, Secret Empire, etc were all asspulls just to force company wide hero vs hero events.

This.

Heroes are ten times more popular than their villains among normalfags.

>wanting hero v villain stories
OP, do you like Donny Cates or something?

These. Civil War notoriously started the trend of heroes constantly fighting each, especially for events. And CW is what got Quesada to do yearly events.

Nerds argue that their superhero is better/stronger.

So comicbook writers make them fight. Nerds enjoy it. Often times they make the fight a draw so that nerds can keep on arguing whether Hulk or Thor is stronger.

So they do it cuz it sells well, but also it is not unbeliveable that the heroes would fight.
