God plays favorites to fuck with people

Potiphar did
That's literally why Joseph was imprisoned

The movie in general was more stilted than Prince of Egypt. There is room for interpretation when it comes to Joseph. Was he a prideful little twerp or a daddy's boy dweeb who just wanted to be accepted but couldn't read the room? Either way, he would have been diligent when it came to his work, because that wouldn't have materialized out of thin air. And he was probably at least somewhat vindictive when fucking with his brothers in Egypt.

He was the favorite, but then got humbled.

This is the problem with picking favorites. You screw over the other kids and pit them against each other. Just like Cain and abel, why not tell the children exactly what offerings to make instead of screwing the person who guessed wrong?

What part of miracle child confuses you?

He learned it from his father Jacob.

Nobody twisted Joseph's brothers arms into hucking him into a pit(?) and nobody forced Cain to go apeshit.

why did every 2D film by Dreamworks have those lanky angular designs and alien faces?

His being a Gary Stu was the point of the story. He's extremely full of himself and gets punished for it. Joseph only succeeds once he humbles himself before God.

I wished Dreamworks did a King David movie.

I did

Back in the day cancel culture was brutal; you'd get exiled from town just because people didn't like you

I am playing potifar in Joseph technicolor dream coat. It's fun.

You should listen to Jesus christ superstar if you haven't yet

There's a similar character in the water margin called Gao Qiu, and his arc was going from an exile to the right hand man of a prince all because he was good at soccer and no one wanted to be stuck with him.

>be jew
>get fucked by jews and sold as slave
>become important guy
>jews come to him for help
>he makes the other jews get into debt with the Egyptians
>Egyptians take jews as slaves
many such cases

Book of Esther would have been a better choice, considering it's the least religious book in the Bible, stars a women, and is the most cometic of the stories, making it ripped for animated adaption, yet theirs never been one out side of Veggietales

That is an awful play that can be a lot of fun with the right actors

>and nobody forced Cain to go apeshit.
Pretty sure that's debatable. And has been.

Veggietales Esther was legit though.

>most comedic
>villain attempts to commit genocide because a rival didn’t bow to him
