For once, an Illumination film isn't the black sheep of the board.

This is a thread to talk about the wolf girl and the wet fantasies we want to come true!

Oh... and to talk about the gorilla room.

Gorillaz roon is an outdated meme. Johnny has a gf now.

Kek, is it? I remember seeing the posters and trailers for the original and it looked like the most obnoxious thing in the world.

That's their marketing departament. Even with all the spoiled story in the trailers, the final product was surprisingly enjoyable.

I laughed even harder when I went to e6 and found some of those images, all of which are from 4 years ago. Some of the quality of his commissions is so bad that it doesn't even look like Johnny, so I just picture this desperate guy asking lower and lower quality artists for more pics like it's a fucking drug.

yeah both movies are 9/10 what a great franchise

I think this movie had a better payoff with the end musical, both as a spectacle and having each character's planet sum up their little arcs.

One of Illuminations better work.
Despicable Me 1 wasn’t bad either.

Is it worth a watch?

The plot was mediocre but it worked well enough to string a bunch of songs together, which made it overall entertaining.

If you're on this board, then yes. Any Forums made me regret not taking the kids to see ron's gone wrong.

If you like musicals sure. What I like is now that the main cast's characters are established they get to be given new challenges and build off what the previous film has shown. It's a sequel that feels like you need to have seen the previous film to appreciate tiny little interactions and larger moments between members. Everyone is basically at their peak and now face the challenge of no longer being the biggest fish in their pond so to speak.

I like both, but a better payoff? in the other movie each song completed 1 character arc, there were multiple pay-offs.

why? that feels like a movie for teenagers

I didn't like or care for Mike, Meena, or Ash. Johnny and Rosita were absolute top tier I'll admit, but I think the sequel having them all work as a team for the play rather than the American Idol contest just wins me over more.

This.
The whole thing was also much better thought out, since the show is preceded by a hard work montage where all the characters build the makeshift venue together, incorporating Rosita's handywoman skills, Buster's friend also joins the crew as a stagehand. You aren't left wondering shit like how they got the backstage crew to come to work in the middle of the night behind Jimmy's back and who paid them, or why the main characters (excluding the koala) suddenly lost all their self-preservation instincts and were like "lol what if we go piss off a crazed wannabe murderer and get our young kids involved, that should be fun."

>Mike is dead, ma'am

>hating on a dead man
