Either you like or hate the legend of Korra, it seems that eveyone thinks Tenzin is a nice character, what went so right with him?

hot family man who will die for his nation

People who like Korra see him as a great sensei/father figure
People who hate Korra empathize with him putting up with her bullshit

>Voiced by J.K.Simmons
> Actually one of few characters that at least try to think, in opposition to Korra's retardation
> Cares for his family even though he has a mentally disabled child (Milo)
>basically what says - great patient menthor as well.

J.K. Simmons carried Tenzin hard

When you're young he's just your dad, very few people hate their dad.

When you're older you feel like he is relatable and sympathetic because everyone he has to interact with is a huge cunt.

He and Korra had this amazing chemistry that's made all the funnier because she's technically got her dad's soul stuck in her for 1 and 9/10ths of a season.

didnt he job something fierce?

He is the closest to a mature aang we could get.

>(((((airbenders)))))

The fire nation only exists to serve the air people.

He told it like it is.

>Korra, why are there so many air benders in the bank?

>Korra, why do the air benders get their own island, but we have to live in the city?

>Korra, why was the spirit portal given to the air nomads? despite being such a small part of the population?

bro nearly 1v4'd a group that outclassed several other master level benders.

he was kicking zaheer's ass before the rest of his crew jumped in, wym

My favorite part of that fight was that Tenzin's movements were fluid and elegant, while Zaheer's were brutish and forceful in comparison. You could tell Tenzin had been trained for years.

Seeing someone who might be the last continuation of their culture fight to their last breath is always a plus.

>very few people hate their dad.

where do you live and how easy is a visa?

They like him so much they don't ven show him get beaten by the 4 stooges.

He did get ganked off screen by a bunch of nonbenders in Season 1

There’s literally no good reason for this guy not to become a polygamist other than Nickelodeon censorship. The fact that he felt like be had to break up with his old childhood friend just so that he could fuck a baby factory to repropogate his race was entirely unnecessary, when he simply could have married both of them, plus more baby factories. Aang had already done away with the airbender tradition of segregating sexes so that he could have a marriage with Katara, so it’s not like it would violate his culture’s customs any worse. And then Korra came and made a bunch of random fucks airbenders anyway, making Tenzin’s entire life mission meaningless.

>retard girl ignores you when you say you're too busy to train her, gets in trouble with the police which you have to pay for, stays at your home and eats your food, then breaks some of your antique training shit because she somehow "mastered" 3 elements without learning patience and self-control
>after all this she then doesn't want to train airbending anymore
So right off the bat Tenzin is a fucking Saint for not telling Korra to fuck off until she grows up.
>retard girl ignores you when you say not to lead an anti-equalist task force
>nearly loses her bending, then actually loses her bending, but luckily your training has enabled her to do a brutish airbending punch
>later gets her bending back after attempting absolutely nothing but crying about it
Ok, it was a rocky start but it's S2 now and we're at a clean slate. Hopefully now that her airbending saved her Korra will appreciate-
>retard girl ignores your airbending training to go listen to ANOTHER suave, sinister waterbender guy telling her what to do
Tenzin is a Saint for not killing Korra and hoping for a better Avatar next cycle.

>Pema's pussy saved airbending (before they just handed it out to every rando on the street)
they got real fucking lucky there. Tenzin's autism towards Lin almost doomed them all.

He was surprised in that scenario, he later makes a mechatank fly like 50 meters off the ground, the dude is strong, no wonder when Aang was already a airbender master at 12

what kind of bender would you guys want to be? water bending seems op as hell

The only airbender we knew at that time was Aang who was a young free spirit who didn’t dwell on things. Tenzin is the complete opposite and that was fun to see as it challenged everything we knew about airbenders up to that point.

He's also about the only positive older role model in the series outside of Iroh

Tenzin beat the shit out of everyone who went up against and I lay lost if more people joined in against him. He pretty much dabbed on Zaheer until his crew stepped in to help

>Avatar is like Elder Scrolls in that children only resemble the race of one of their parents
