>It took Marvel, Disney, and Sony THREE(3) movies to give us a Peter Parker/Spider-Man who >lives in an apartment in NYC >doesn't have the avengers hand him everything or on speed dial >down on his luck college student >no one knows his identity >got the great power line instilled in him >lost someone close to him
aka Spidey from the comics. Three fucking movies and six years for him to not be Iron Man Jr and have a general setup/premise to the comic books these movies are based on. Unacceptable.
Holland still has a whiny voice and nothing can fix it. I can never see him being the chad peter from the comics
Xavier Cooper
It was actually 6 movies
>> Chad
You have to be 18 to post here and it is suggested you actually read comics
Oliver Sullivan
And Iron Boy STILL fucking sucks. D*sney just can't do Spider-Man for love nor money. Hopefully they continue avoiding the X-FolX.
Jeremiah Barnes
>X-FolX. the what?
Leo Campbell
Slott rot your brain if you can't remember romita era
Blake Cook
>JRSR kino >JRJR >chicken scratch how did things end up like this?
Lincoln Campbell
bump
Juan Jenkins
At least we got Sentry set up.
Hudson Walker
excuse me?
Owen Evans
I will admit, NWH fixed a lot of issues I had with Holland. He eventually did become the Spidey we know
Luis Rogers
Different user, but I think he means the idea of a super hero having a bunch of experiences with the avengers and other heros but then being forgotten due to magic. I dont think they forgot about Spider-man though, just Peter Parker.
Benjamin James
oh. I really hope they don't do the Sentry
Cooper Miller
>lives in an apartment in NYC He lived in an apartment with Aunt Man the entire time, dumbass. >down on his luck college student He always was high school student first. >no one knows his identity Outside of heroes and family nobody knew his identity until NWH. >lost someone close to him He already lost Uncle Ben even if they didn't show it.
Lucas Morgan
Holland-man was a fun character. Seeing him go from this naive young ward to sacrificing all of his resources and connections was a satisfying narrative. Even if it wasn't the long term plan.
>Outside of heroes and family nobody knew his identity until NWH.
That's kind of the point, Mj figuring out Peter was spiderman instantly basically takes out anything interesting about Peter hiding his identity.
>He already lost Uncle Ben even if they didn't show it.
Uncle Ben is barley mentioned or referenced, and we really have no idea if it had any effect on peter at all.
Jose Martin
>College >kraven's last hunt
Colton Cooper
He's finally back where you want him and you're complaining about it. Holland will most likely do a whole other trilogy.
Camden Campbell
>Uncle Ben is barley mentioned or referenced, and we really have no idea if it had any effect on peter at all. They are doing a prequel animated series for Holland Spiderman
Dominic Brown
>you're complaining about it. I'm complaining about how long it took
Samuel Allen
>got the great power line instilled in him I prefer what (not) Nick Fury said in the second film, they didn't need to outright use this line, it felt cheap coming from Aunt May.
