Am I the only one who feels like this story was missing a beat where Mei Mei gets slightly upset at the idea that her schoolmates only like her because she turns into a panda, and that she's only acting out and rebellious to appeal to them because she craves approval, the exact same thing she was doing with her mother when acting prim and proper? It feels like there's a missed moment in the arc where Mei Mei realizes she's STILL not being true to herself and that figuring out who "you" are takes time.
