Really liked that Kuzco didn't give a fuck about girls in a meaningful way. A romance subplot would've completely annihilated the pace of the film, plus it makes him look more narcissistic and petty. It's also a nice callback to the fact that the original version actually had a much bigger emphasis on romance, and this scene was basically mocking that.
