Hasbro couldnt market this at all. It was never aired on TV and barely any merch made it to stores. I had to get the plush from a discount seller called ollies

Hasbro nowadays has done really questionable decisions with their IP's.
And that new Transformers cartoon made by Nick looks like dogshit.

Shit's really cute, the only thing I didn't like was Hanazuki and Kiazuki being at odds. Moonflowers should always stick together.

great show but extra crappy toys, like really, they were super boring and unfortunately hasbro was producing it, so the toys really mattered

It's not that they couldn't they chose not to. It started out on Youtube with a wonky "every full moon" schedule. Then sent to TV around the time their channel was going down. Then scrubbed from Youtube.

Hasbro got spiteful/stupid and shoved Hanazuki on dead & dying cable on a channel nobody heard of. Doesnt help that they ripped off all episodes of the show on youtube, the one platform where it was steadily getting an audience. They told NOBODY this, and waited about a goddamn year to release the rest of the episodes Titmouse finished. And just for good measure they scrubbed their websites clean of any hint of Hanazuki's existence.
I'm convinced there was a shift upstairs and someone really, really, REALLY had it out for this show.
