>Michael Keaton ad-libbed the “I’m Batman” line. The script called for him to say “I am the night”, but he forgot his line and improvised in order not to waste the shot.

>Hugh Jackman ad-libbed the “what do they call you? Wheels?” line. The script called for him to call Xavier “cueball”, but Jackman felt pointing out Xavier’s disability was more in line with Wolverine’s characterization at that point.

>Joss Whedon claims that the line “you know what happens to a toad when it’s struck by lightning? The same that happens to everything else” is a remnant from a previous version of the script where Toad frequently drops facts about why toads are superior while fighting, always starting with “you know what happens to a toad when…?”, and that it should have been delivered in a tongue-in-cheek way, not in the serious way Halle Berry did it.

Then why the fact didn’t they change it in post, editing or even the day of shooting.

A wizard did it.

>The original cut of SPIDER-MAN featured a subplot about Peter Parker building webshooters to help him control his organic webbing. The trailers featured scenes of Parker building and training with the webshooters, but all of them were cut from the final version of the film.

Things fall through the cracks in scripts like that. They may have just thought the line on its own as a "badass" one liner.

>The Green Goblin would originally have a monstrous face in SPIDER-MAN. A remote-controlled prosthetic face was created and screen-tested, but the studio ultimately abandoned the idea as it was too expensive and limiting.

I'm pretty sure the webshooters in the original cut of Spiderman were supposed to be fake webshooters that Spidey made to conceal the fact that he can shoot webs out of his body. Hell Raimi even talks about it in this wikileaks article.

It's a concept from James Cameron's script, but they changed it to give them an actual function in the story.

I'm pretty sure this one is widely known but the famous hospital bombing scene in The Dark Knight with The Joker disappointed by the explosion delay was actually a real technical problem

Yeah that's a much better line.

The line works even without the rest

Man, how the fuck do New Yorkers stand living so close to their neighbors that their bedroom windows line up and are like five feet apart?

>The batsuit in the 1989 fits Michael Keaton poorly because it was made before Keaton was cast and was designed with a taller and stronger actor in mind. A new batsuit tailor-made for Keaton was made for the sequel.

>Sean Young was originally cast as Vicki Vale in the 1989 film, but was forced to drop out after breaking her foot filming a stunt. She felt she was entitled to the role of Catwoman in the sequel and refused to accept it when Tim Burton cast Michelle Pfeiffer instead, breaking into the Warner Bros lot in a homemade Catwoman costume and cornering Burton in his office until security escorted her out.

>Tobey MacGuire ad-libbed the "That's cute outfit did your husband make it for you?" line in Spider-Man after finding the original line ("What're you some kind of faggot?") a bit too harsh.

>The first DC comics story involving a parallel Earth was in Wonder Woman #59 in 1953
>Wonder Woman was the first hour-long superhero TV show
>Warner considered making a Wonder Woman movie right after Superman 1978 came out

>Marlon Wayans was originally cast as Dick Grayson in Tim Burton's BATMAN RETURNS. He would be a street-smart auto mechanic who helps Batman remove the Penguin's remote control device from the Batmobile. Dick's parents were murdered when he was a child, and he hates criminals, even asking why Batman avoids killing them. Batman later recruits him to infiltrate the Penguin's underground lair and jam the signal that would detonate the bombs meant to destroy Gotham City. Sensing Dick's potential and how his rage might lead him astray, Batman recruits him as his new partner, Robin.

>Warner felt that the movie had too many characters and removed Dick and Billy Dee Williams' Harvey Dent - Who originally sponsored the Penguin, inadvertently created Catwoman and became Two-Face in the end - with the stipulation they would star in the next movie, BATMAN FOREVER. However, when Tim Burton dropped out, his replacement Joel Schumacher decided to cast Chris O'Donnell as Robin instead. Wayans was paid $100,000 for his unfilmed role in BATMAN RETURNS and an undisclosed large sum for the breach of his contract for BATMAN FOREVER.

>George Clooney was in advanced talks to star in a Nick Fury movie in 2002, but pulled out after reading Garth Ennis' Nick Fury MAX series and being appalled by its profanity and violence, particularly a scene where Fury strangles an enemy with his own intestines. Clooney's departure killed the project and became one of the decisive factors that led to Bill Jemas, the creator and main advocate of the MAX label, being fired from his position as President of Marvel Comics.

Heath Ledger's shocked reaction in that scene is genuine. You can see for a second that he seems panicked before just walking quickly.

>Wesley Snipes approached John Singleton to direct BLACK PANTHER starring Snipes in 1996. Singleton misunderstood the subject matter and pitched a drama about a former Black Panther turned civil rights activist trying to rescue his estranged son from gang violence, and turned it down upon learning Black Panther was a superhero.

What a bunch of faggots

These facts are fun but are mostly about movies
Got any Cartoon facts?

Lmao it doesn’t
God what could have been

I can't find the clip but this whole incident was immortalized in an Animaniacs episode.

>drama about a former Black Panther turned civil rights activist trying to rescue his estranged son from gang violence
This idea has potential
