Aside from Batman (and Superman I guess?) what DC character can carry an AAA game on its own? I say possibly Green Arrow and the Flash. Wonder Woman has an upcoming video game and we'll see whether or not it becomes a success.

Superman can carry a AAA game..?
Realistically, how does one make a Superman game; what genre? It's not like he has gadgets and tech, able to upgrade and armor up over time. It's all innate abilities. And if there's nothing to strive for, then there would be no momentum and progress.

Maybe if you could do some really cool underwater gameplay, aquaman would be cool but mostly for the novelty, less so because it’s aquaman. To my memory, I don’t recall ever playing a game where you just spent a lot of time in the ocean. Sure maybe swim in a river or something. Perhaps no one really has any ideas how to go about making that fun.

ever played an rpg? his powers could be portrayed as skills you can level up

>Realistically, how does one make a Superman game;
Open world where you have to use your super sense to prioritize which crisis would need you attention

The game could start out with Young Superman who still hasn't unlocked most of his powers. Their you can upgrade his skills and unlock new powers as you level up.

Bueno Excellente

>It's all innate abilities.
You can start with golden age Superman where he wasn't nearly as powerful, couldn't fly or have his different powers and just unlock them over time

Or you can just learn new combos and skills as the game goes on. Like stringing his powers together as combos like freezing an enemy and hitting the other with them.

The real problem is his invulnerability. He pretty much cannot die unless Doomsday, Kryptonite or Magic is involved, which means it's kind of pointless making say, some hoodlums cornering a homeless guy in an alleyway. They're not really a threat to him.
You could make the failure state be OTHER people dying or getting hurt but that runs into the same problem Superman64 did with it's constant and seemingly random ass "LEX WINS!" game over screens.
At absolute best, it'd make the entire game into a large scale Escort Mission. Nobody wants that.

>He pretty much cannot die unless Doomsday, Kryptonite or Magic is involved
Or red sunlight, high voltage electricity and energy sucking parasites. Dude don't fall for the meme that Superman can't be hurt. They've been writing Superman comics for almost 90 years. Even just for a brawl there's options beyond Doomsday like Zod, Mongol or Lobo. Not to mention Darkseid and his entire planet full of freaks

Alien invasion using red sun rays? You could easily have luthor goons with kryptonite rays Also, you could use intergang as the common crooks as the reason why they can hurt superman. plenty of ways to explain why the common goon can hurt superman.

You could even start the game by having an alien weaken our sun or have kryptonite in the atmosphere. Not enough to kill Superman but severely weaken him. I honestly don't think it would be that hard to make a Superman game

Golden to Silver Age Fleischer-like open-world game. That was super easy.

Plastic-Man could be fun

All of them? The IP really has no bearing on anything.

How the fuck would the game about Flash even work?

everything is in slow mo

Remember superspeed in the last infamous game?

>The real problem is his invulnerability.
He's been knocked out plenty of times. Just switch getting killed to "knocked out, villains escaped!" and when Kryptonite gets involved, then switch it to being more deadly.

Will Wonder Woman be depowered in her game? She's usually just as strong as Supes unless he's in a powerup mode or something.
