Has there ever been less hype for a Batman movie? This comes out literally Friday, and it seems like nobody cares. What happened?

>daily threads
I'd say hype is pretty high.

"Ow the Edge" realistic Batman has been run into the fucking ground

Eternals had more threads than this

Mouse drones are unrelenting man/womb manchildren

Huge DC guy. But this movie ain't for me. It's Nolan-lite and I didn't care for the Nolan batsaga to beign with.

A 3 Hour, PG-13 Batman, with diversity hires filling in the spots doesn't even sound remotely entertaining.

>with diversity
Explain to me how is that a bad thing without being racist.

Way too much Batman, people are getting tired

Because every time a thread is made it is derailed en masse once a conversation is attempted. I've seen it happen every single day for the past two weeks. Same thing happens on Any Forums. It doesn't matter. How much people talk about a film on Any Forums has never been an indication of success by any metric. Practically no one discussed Aquaman. No one talks about Fast and the Furious other than to make fun of it with "le famiglia" posting. Any Forums's opinion or engagement simply does not matter.

Either way there will be most threads about once it comes out on Tuesday, if you care.

Nah

Traditionally white characters, or characters who have time and time again been established as white, being racebent is ridiculous and a trend Hollywood should have stopped eons ago. 3 white characters, for example, are diverse; blond hair, red hair, green eyes, blue eyes, different upbringings and backgrounds, etc. That is also diversity.

My biggest gripe isn't that they made Selina black or Gordon black, for example, is that's they could have used a lesser known character who was already black, brown, red, yellow, whatever, if they wanted to, but didn't. It's not to create a good story, but to check a quota box.

No you explain to me why a black person is good casting for a thief without being racist

And all the Eternals threads were literally just making fun of the two faggots kissing scene

How is anyone going to be excited to see this?

Retard. It's literally the most hyped film of the year by far.

The last Batman movie was a decade ago.

>le gay cowboy from 10 years ago argument
yawn

Yes threads are not an accurate measure of hype as The Batman is tracking to make more money than Eternals

To further elaborate on my point; Michael Akins was GCPD commissioner before Gordon and was a black man. So why not have Jeffrey Wright portray him? Why not use a new actress for Rene Montoya, who is hispanic? Or bring in someone to play Mackenzie Bock, who is black? Lucious Fox is black and does not seem to appear in this film despite being a huge legacy part of Bruce's life. Bruce also dated a Amina Franklin for awhile, who was also black, and was the sister of one of Batman's villains.

See, you can comb through Batman's nearly 80 year legacy and find plenty of characters, both minor and major, that are POC and could be interesting to use. They would also be fresh takes and bring more POC characters to the forefront of people's minds. But, y'know, just racebend some characters to hit that quota.

Just keep making these threads man, that means it's true

Do we need daily “hype” posts in Any Forums and Any Forums??
Wouldn’t just one be enough? I’m not seeing the film anyway since I generally dislike superhero movies

The only two people who are legally allowed to direct a Batman movie are Tim Burton and the late-Joel Schumacher (RIP) because they both balance style and substance. Nolan and onwards are just shitty dark, gritty, "ow teh edge" capeshit bullshit that try way too hard to do "deep, metaphorical" commentaries on society and poverty in large.

Bravo Nolan. Nobody gives a shit.

Joker was the last Batman movie Any Forums (and the social media in large) talked about consistently, if that technically counts as a Batman movie.

Nolan's Batman moves weren't dark, gritty, or "ow teh edge" unless you were a 10 year old. They're movies that are faux-adult oriented. Wake me when we really do get a dark, gritty Batman.

Nolan's Joker is an edgy nihilist in makeup instead of a clown that does funny murders.

>retarded manchildren are now literally simping for the Joel motherfucking Schumacher movies, of which they haven't even watched
LoL imagine being this so of a whiny baby bitch you'll literally eat shit just to tell others you're different and special

You people are either delusional or just new

2 months before spiderman came out, we had so many threads, I had to hide threads constantly.
And we did had ONE batman thread at the same time which got 5 replies before 404. It was embarrassing.
Look at the catalog RIGHT NOW this is the only batman thread. This is a flop

Joker has only been popular since writers started taking the character seriously (Killing Joke, Dark Knight Returns, Serious House, Clown at Midnight, Arkham). If that makes you seethe like a bitch, good. It's factually the best approach to Joker, no matter how much you cry and bitch about it.
