"For Ant-Man's ant-iversary, we wanted to go BIG with the world's smallest hero -- burrowing an ant tunnel right through his sixty-year history and far beyond, from the wild and wooly 1960s all the way to a future you'll have to see to believe!” Ewing promises. “You'll find out how Henry Pym, Scott Lang and Eric O'Grady impacted each other's lives in ways they never knew themselves -- but who's the mysterious final member of this Ant-tastic Four? Tremble with ant-icipation, true believer -- the answers are coming soon to a hill near you!"

“I’m very excited to work with Al again, this time to celebrate, and add to, the legacy of Ant Man!” Reilly says. “Several different people have taken the name, and Al’s written a fun story that gives them all a chance to shine. I also look forward to working with Jordie Bellaire again, her colors elevate any book that she’s on. There’s lots of inspiration to be taken from Ant Man’s rich artistic history, and there’ll be plenty of room for both of us to experiment in this series. I can’t wait for everyone to check it out!”

>Be there when this definitive saga in ANT-MAN’s storied history begins this June!

>Ewing went dark for Ant-Man
Didn't expect that but B A S E D

I usually love Ewing, but he's far enough on the "woke" end of things that I have zero optimism that he'll treat Hank fairly and include some obligatory OMG HE SLAPPED JANET ONCE DURING A MENTAL BREAKDOWN HE IS THE WORST HUMAN BEING TO EVER EXIST moment

>And who is the mysterious stranger who stalks him

Future Ant-Man's going on a time heist fucking calling that one from outside the room right now.

I like to think this one is for that single user who replied "Ant-Man" in a post-IH "what Ewing should write next" thread.
>Each thrilling issue will focus on a different Ant-Man from Hank Pym to Eric O’Grady to Scott Lang as a brand-new future Ant-Man seeks to connect them all so they can face off against a threat only they can hope to defeat!

Good maybe Eric will finally get his body back.

Eh, that's more SJW, Al seems woke so he'll probably balance it with mental illness

You have a hilariously warped view of how "woke" writers think about the slap.

ayy lmao

so this is why Ewing is not doing Venom any more
seems interesting and I like Reilly's art style.

is Al Ewing and Donny Cates the only good writers marvel have nowdays?

>>a brand-new future Ant-Man
dropped

>also on their payroll
>PAD and fucking DeMatteis
They have the only good writers nowadays.

they both suck mad ass

cool

Yeah, even Scans_Daily thinks the slap gets overblown. Ewing's takes on issues are often ham-handed, but he usually recognizes that, as you can see from McGee's character growth.

Ewing actually reads the comics he makes callbacks too. If he references the slap he'll make it clear that it was during a period of mental duress and not present Hank as a wifebeater.

>A good team working on a character I love
Holy shit it's like Marvel is actually trying to publish good comics! Between this and the new X-Statix it'll be the first time I'm following more than one floppy from a single big two publisher since 2006!

Sucks it's only a mini. I'd love a full series of Ewing on Ant-Man.

I'm sure he'll touch upon it because that's what Ewing does, bring shit back from the past, but he also has the proper talent (and more importantly, good will) to let Hank bring it up and get past it. I'm sure hacks will keep bringing it up in the future but everyone will just point to "huh bro that has been dealt with in ewing's run" and move on, which is far better than the current situation.
