Why can't they transistion into their own brand instead of keep being tied to DBZ parodies? I think some RWBY-like series with their writing would be a killer, yet the only videos that gets any traction is DB-related. I half expect them to do season 4 anyway to keep viewers.

Gag dubs of anime are still anime.
Furthermore, e-celeb shilling threads are cancer.

Because, they are a force multiplier. They make already popular show and characters even more entertaining, but they can't make something out of non existing show.

It's funny how you try this in every thread. Are you going to post furry scat porn when you don't get your way next?

They have never made anything entertaining and do the same gay jokes x100 Bojack killed them and hopefully they learn to stay down

The videos in question are original animation which is done in the west, so this would be Any Forums. Only the abridged episodes themselves would be a rule violation
idk I like HFIL, I'm sure they'd make some other good stuff but I'm happy with them still using their versions of the dbz characters, they've taken on such a life of their own that they can do anything with them and make it funny.

Dubbing and editing bits of an already exitisting story / show is much easier than coming up with and creating something 100% original. Also retards dont think its funny because its not established and recognizeable characters saying things they usually woulnt.

>hopefully they learn to stay down
They won't. They're trying so hard to stay relevant even though it's abundantly clear that the lion's share of their fanbase only cared about abridged.

Again, Rooster Teeth started out with their a Halo parody and then made RWBY. Granted they had some talent in the animation department, but a good story and characters can transcend mediocre animation (which seems to be what they can manage at the moment).

Raditz got the most potential to be interesting since he is almost wholely their own character and doesn't show up again in the series.

Rooster teeth was smarter business wise, but it helped that Microsoft and Bungie liked the free advertising for their currently popular games. TFS got their start editing a show that was over for almost 15 years abs got screwed at the end because they physically sold merch with the copywrited characters they never paid for the rights to use. It’s a shame we’ll never see their end of DBZ, but Toei will never admit to the part TFS played in the resurgence of Dragon Ball

HFIL isn’t animated by them, they use Devil Artimis for those and Dragon Shortz. I think that they’re primarily writers and editors I don’t think they’ve ever animated anything to complicated on their own

>Why can't they transistion into their own brand instead of keep being tied to DBZ parodies?
They tried, no one wanted to watch their original shit because it was boring.

I remember that thread, though it was mostly MLP scat on that Superman v Goku thread.

>TFS played in the resurgence of Dragon Ball
Like it ever died in the first place? The Budokai T games and Raging Blast series still kept it popular for years. Then DBZ:Kai premiered on Nicktoons and opened up a whole new generation to watch the show at arguably it's best.

For whatever they did wrong they legit kept the franchise's flame alive.

The only thing by them I watched that wasn't Dragonball-related was their Final Fantasy 7 machinima, and even that I didn't finish. I'm not going to watch Hellsing abridged because I've never seen Hellsing and I don't care to.

The big problem with them is that the shit they put out gets so over-produced that it forgot it was a comedy. Somewhere along the line they lost the ability to write around what was happening on screen, and would spend ages editing it, which probably led to episodes being tweaked endlessly until they were released. That's probably why they can't make their own original shit.

And I'd rather they'd put out more shorter episodes than half-hour long episodes that hardly made it seem abridged anymore.

I like yugioh abridged and that one one-shot that sounded like if Aaron McGruder wrote Yugioh Abridged but I forgot the channel name for that one

By the end they were treating DBZA like a fan dub instead of the comedy show it was supposed to be.
Which did serve them well to an extent, lots of people seemed to love how the later episodes played out, but like you said, they lost the ability to make original jokes because they themselves stopped treating their biggest work like a parody.

Sad what happened to Little Kuriboh, really. Got depression and married a they-woman and had to cencor his videos. It honestly sound like he wants to die whenever he talks.

Their season 1 was very rough late 00s material, but there season 2 was fantastic, the Cell arc was by my account also great.
