Courage the Cowardly Dog

Hot take:
Bunny created Mad Dog. She lied, she cheated, she neglected and ultimately abandoned him.

Jee, I wonder what makes you feel like that.

She would have broke up with him and left honorably if he hadn't been so possessive.

That's not a "hot take" that's a theory but given the circumstances it's entirely possible within the context of the story but we all know damn well that wasn't the writers' intention.

Based

Never listen to women, they're master manipulators.

Sounds realistic

Just like real life
Reminder that all femicides are justified

He wasn't possessive. He threatened to bury to two of them. Meaning Bunny was dependent and stringing him along to take whatever he had to offer - even though she and kitty didn't need it.

Their relationship is paralleled by Muriel and Eustace, taking in Kitty. Muriel started harassing Eustace over his treatment of their masked guest.
But he had a point. Muriel was slaving away for Kitty - who was wearing a mask - for nothing.
She didn't eat.
She didn't show appreciation.
She beat poor Courage to a pulp
Pointing out the reality only made Muriel become distant and unkind to Eustace. Muriel saw herself as a poor host, while Eustace saw kitty as a bad guest. (Muriel apologized in the end, and Eustace comforted her saying she didn't need to be perfect)

>not all [men]
Would not fly today in todays SJW controlled society

A "gay cat" is an old term for a homeless people that would jump a train to another town. Take advantage of everyone's hospitality. They'd be set up for life. But then they "get fresh" by throwing it away to hop another train and start over again.
It's ultimately where "gay" meaning "homosexual" came from. But more in the sense that they couldn't commit to anything

It's subtext, Steven.

Mad Dog was doing Bunny a favor by keeping the gay cat away from her.

>She lied, she cheated, she neglected
Never happened

Oh sweet I finally have a term for my sister in law.

He gave everything he had to bunny, who in return gave it all to kitty who threw it all away.
They were a class act, and now they're living in the slums. He's still willing to make it work. But only if bunny stays away. He's got nothing else to give.

Poor brother

Incel hands

It's called Chiastic Structure. You don't need to see Bunny and Mad Dog's relationship because it's understood by looking at Muriel and Eustace.
Fat wife. Skinny husband. Kitty drives a wedge between them by exposing their secrets.

As Courage and Bunny are escaping out the window.
Muriel also forces Eustace out their window (because they're locked in and Muriel expects Eustace to do everything)
Muriel however realizes she could get herself out. And stops Eustace from destroy their home in an effort to fix something that didn't need to be fixed.
The same can't be said of Bunny and Kitty who hopped a train to another town to repeat the cycle.
